Sara Snedeker is the Green Chain Project Lead for the Pet Industry Sustainability Coalition (PISC) where she leads their sustainable sourcing collaborative working group and consults with companies to develop sustainable value chains.
Sara grew up in New Jersey and learned early that capitalism, the environment, and managing the bottom line often collide in an open and free society. While working at a nature center was not her ultimate life calling, that experience, and many others, led her to an interest in business oriented sustainable practices and specifically minimizing environmental impacts while optimizing profitability. She garnered her analytical skills through a B.A. in Supply Chain and Information Systems from Penn State, and seven years of inventing and simplifying for Fortune 500 companies across various consumer and raw material goods companies.
