As the Director of Operations at Natural Capitalism Solutions, Meghan Altman combines a deep passion for sustainability with exceptional organizational skills to ensure everything runs smoothly and at top speed for the organization.
Originally from South Florida, Meghan’s interest in the environment and sustainability started at a very young age through her family’s annual trips to many National Parks. These vacations instilled a love of the natural world that would continue to grow. After studying Wildlife Ecology and Conservation in Tanzania during her undergraduate years, Meghan became a sustainability enthusiast, and firmly believes in the vision of NCS and conserving the natural world and its resources.
Meghan has the functional know-how and rich experience, gained from a variety of positions within the scientific field. Her diverse background allows her to don different hats and contribute more to NCS. Prior to joining the team at NCS, Meghan worked as an analytical scientist, research technician, and wildlife technician for the Desert Research Institute, Storm Peak Laboratory, ACZ Laboratories, and Boulder County Parks and Open Space. Currently pursuing her MBA in Sustainability at Bard College, she is a 2016 winner of the Boulder Valley 40 Under 40 award by BizWest Media and recently co-founded her own non-profit organization, titled Chain Reaction. Her varied experience and expertise within the field allows her to excel as Director of Operations for Natural Capitalism Solutions. When Meghan is not in the office, you can find her mountain biking, hiking, cooking, or spending time with her dog, Mziki and enjoying all of what Colorado has to offer.
Meghan received her B.A. in Environmental Studies and Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has resided in Colorado ever since.
