4 October 2012 Dear Friends, Hello from Colorado! We appreciate everyone who has reached out to check on us, and are happy to say that all of us at Natural Capitalism are safe and dry after the horrific flood two weeks ago. Like most folks in Boulder County, we were definitely impacted by the flood: one apartment under water; two employees stranded in Lyons for 3 days and now evacuated for 3+ months because of downed bridges and damaged infrastructure; and several horses were stranded but rescued. Our loss has been small in comparison to many of our friends and neighbors. With everyone on dry land now, our work with the Town of Lyons has an even greater importance. The town (along with many communities on the front range) must rebuild. But with that comes the opportunity to do it right. NCS will be with Lyons every step of the way to help ensure that decisions made are done with a sustainable future in mind. WeÕll keep you informed as things develop but until then we thank you all for your kind thoughts. Cheers, Toby Russell C.E.O. (& Lyons Resident)
