Dear Friends,
We are excited to announce the release of the paperback version of Climate Capitalism, renamed as The Way Out. In honor of this we're renaming our emails to you. They provide you with the latest NCS solutions to some of the world's toughest problems, and literally define "the way out" of our recession, the collapse of ecosystems, and the failure to create a sustainable future.

It’s always an honor to be invited to join a head of state to tackle global problems.

But it’s rare that anything comes of it. Last February I was surprised to receive an invitation from the Royal Government of Bhutan to join His Excellency, Jigmi Thinley, the Bhutanese Prime Minister and more than 600 leaders from civil society, business, governments, academic institutions and global experts for a High Level Meeting at the United Nations on Happiness and Well Being: Defining a New Economic Paradigm.

Many of you have heard my rants against the bloated UN bureaucracy, but for some reason this invitation caught my attention.

And rightly so.

With just over a month left till Rio+20, the Future We Want is running hard taking submissions from all over the world and turning them into engaging visuals. As we mentioned in December, our Future We Want project was chosen by the UN as the campaign to promote its global gathering on sustainability this June in Rio. While the project will continue well beyond the conference, we would like to invite you to share your ideas, your voice, and your solutions in front of the world. Tell us what future you envision and we will take the best submissions and present them at Rio+20 using state of the art visual software.

The next two months will be a time of going down the road. I'll be speaking at two of the largest sustainability conferences, Sustainable Brands and LOHAS. The focus at both will be the pragmatics of how you can increase the engagement of your employees to achieve greater sustainability in your organization AND greater profitability. This topic is crucial. If organizations are going to embrace sustainability or even if all they want to do is retain competitive advantage in this tough economy, they need an engaged workforce. I'll explain why a corporate commitment to behave more sustainably IS the key to an engaged workforce, and how to do it. If you are near anywhere I am speaking feel free to let us know as it would be great to see you.

Keep an eye out for our next e-alert which will feature some of the exciting educational programs we are running. Consider joining us either at Bainbridge Graduate Institute in Seattle, or at Bard in New York City, if you want an MBA. Or join us at the University of Denver if you want a certificate in Sustainable Implementation and Leadership. Or come join us this summer for the Change Agent Academy if you want to change the world. Thank you for all of your support. It makes all that we do possible.

                              Warmest regards, Hunter
